The petition is now closed. Its 5096 signatures were presented to the Council's Chief Executive Gerry Cornes and Leader of the Council, Rhondda Geekie, and subsequently reported to a meeting of the full Council on October 29th 2009.

KWAG thanks everyone who signed. The Council agreed to include thanks to the organisers in the text of the report. As one commented, KWAG had acted in support of the original decision of the Planning Board to refuse the application.
